Naoussa

Naoussa

Naoussa is located in the northern part of the island, still retaining its traditional color: a fishing village with a very picturesque harbor surrounded by fishing boats. The ever increasing infrastructure and the lively nightlife have not eroded its traditional character.

Here visitors will find all sorts of amenities like bars and traditional cafes to small taverns and nightclubs. The interior part of the city is comprised of whitewashed narrow streets, according to the traditional Cycladic style, surrounded by and splendid beaches (Piperi, Monastiri, Kolimpithres, Santa Maria, Laggere). The northern side of the harbor is dominated by the Venetian castle-fortress.

There are also many monasteries and archaeological sites around Naoussa.
